A Not So Silent Night

A Not So Silent Night
It’s a not so silent night
The kids just won’t sleep tight.
Don’t they know that Santa won’t show?
If they keep sneakin’ downstairs and peekin’
For a fat man dressed in red
Why won’t they stay in bed?
It’s three AM and they’re at it again.
Trying to get proof of a reindeer on the roof.
Cho
We’re exhausted
Why can’t they go to sleep?
I nearly lost it
Screaming “ If I hear one more peep!”
It’s a rowdy Christmas Eve
And you can tell by now that we’ve
Had all we can take. And they’re still awake
On this not so silent night.

Clean White Snow

Clean White Snow
1.
On a cold Autumn morn
From my room in Pittsfield
I looked out my window in wonder.
The sidewalks and streets were
Completely concealed
By the clean white snow.
2.
A boy I had known
For a minute or three.
Crawled from the sheet he was under.
He dressed, said good-bye
And made tracks with his heels
Through the clean white snow.
Cho:
I believe my soul
Will be saved one day
But it won’t be on this day
Or tomorrow.
I was deceived. Maybe so.
But like wise men say:
The surest path to knowledge
Is through sorrow.
3.
For a night we lay
Sharing secrets so deep
That I thought we might be the same person.
In his footprints I saw
The mud underneath
The clean white snow.
4.
So I looked to the sky
And I looked to the earth.
The weather continued to worsen.
By Christmas his footprints
Had all disappeared in the
Clean white snow.

I Wonder As I Wander
03:01
|
|||
I Wonder as I Wander
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the savior did come for to die
For poor on’ry people like you and like I
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
When Mary birthed Jesus t’was in a cow’s stall
With wise men and farmers and shepherds and all.
But high from God’s heaven a star’s light did fall
And the promise of ages it then did recall
If Jesus had wanted for any wee thing
A star in the sky or a bird on the wing
Or all of god’s angles in heaven to sing
He surely would have it, for he was the king.
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the savior did come for to die
For poor on’ry people like you and like I
I wonder as I wander out under the sky

Last Month Of The Year

Last Month of the YEar
Tell me when was Jesus born
Last month of the year
Tell me when was Jesus born
Last month of the year
Tell me when was Jesus born
Last month of the year
Yeah, wasn't January, February, March, April or May
June, July, August, September, October, November
Was the 25th day of December
Was the last month of the year
He was born to the Virgin Mary
Last month of the year
He was born to the Virgin Mary
Last month of the year
He was born to the Virgin Mary
Last month of the year
He was born in an ox manger
Last month of the year
Yeah, wasn't January, February, March, April or May
June, July, August, September, October, November
Was the 25th day of December

Silver Bells
03:35
|
|||
Silver Bells
City sidewalks, busy sidewalks,
Dressed in holiday style,
In the air there is a feeling,
of Christmas
Children laughing,
People passing
Meeting smile after smile,
And on every street corner you'll hear :
Silver bells, silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city
ring- a- ling, hear them ring,
soon it will be Christmas day.
Strings of street lights,
Even stop lights,
Blink a bright red and green
As the shoppers rush,
home with their treasures.
Hear the snow crunch,
See the kids bunch,
This is Santa's big scene,
And above all this bustle
You'll hear :
Silver bells, silver bells, silver bells ,silver bells
It's Christmas time in the city,
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring,
Soon it will be Christmas day.

Soul Of A Man

The Soul of a Man
Won't somebody tell me, answer if you can!
Want somebody tell me, what is The Soul Of A Man
I'm going to ask the question, answer if you can
If anybody here can tell me, what is The Soul Of A Man?
I've traveled in different countries, I've traveled foreign lands
I've found nobody to tell me, what is The Soul Of A Man
I saw a crowd stand talking, I came up right on time
Were hearing the doctor and the lawyer, say a man ain't nothing but his mind
I read the bible often, I tries to read it right
As far as I can understand, a man is more than his mind
When Christ stood in the temple, the people stood amazed
Was showing the doctors and the lawyers, how to raise a body from the grave

Trimmin' The Tree
02:58
|
|||
Trimmin’ the Tree
The tree is up and now it’s ready to trim.
Colored lights strung from limb to limb.
We’ve got popcorn on a string,
And we’ve got carols to sing
Now it’s time for ornaments, hung one by one.
Who could ever thing this could be so much fun!
But we’ve been waiting all year.
And finally Christmas is here..
The red one came from Aunt Jean
And the blue from Uncle Joe.
This one’s so old that no one seems to know
This is just what Christmas should be
Everyone trimmin’ the tree.
Don’t forget the tinsel just to jazz things up.
I don’t know why, it’s just a real nice touch.
Yeah, we’re trimmin’ the tree.
And we don’t want to stop
‘Till whoever is the tallest puts a
star right there on the top.
This one was from you
And this one was from me.
Every decoration brings back a Christmas memory.
This is just what Christmas should be
With everyone trimmin’ the tree.

Who Doesn’t Like Christmas?
Who Doesn’t like Christmas?
Who doesn’t love a Christmas tree?
Who doesn’t like Christmas
Waiting ‘round on Christmas Eve
For you know who
Who doesn’t like a little bit of snow
And then a fire in the fireplace
Who doesn’t like the rosy glow
That appears on everybody’s face?
Cho:
Who doesn’t like presents?
All tied up with a bow?
Who doesn’t love it? Every little bit of it?
I really want to know….
Who doesn’t like Christmas?
Nobody, that’s who!
Who doesn’t like Christmas lights
Twinklin’ in the neighborhood.
Who doesn’t like jingle bells
We’d ring ‘em all year if we could
Who doesn’t want to trim the tree
And top it off with a star?
Who doesn’t want to sing the songs that
We all know by heart?
Cho
Who doesn’t’ like a Christmas wreath
And little sprig of mistletoe
If you stand under this, your gonna get kissed.
I really want to know.
Who doesn’t like Christmas?
Nobody, that’s who!
